Crankshafts

Crankshafts are cleaned and a basic,  visual inspection is performed before we continue.  We make note of journal sizes and bearing size availability.

We then inspect for cracks and journals that do not meet specifications for material hardness.  

We provide expert crankshaft straightening if and when applicable.

We then grind the crankshaft to the next available bearing size, or the size you prefer the crank to be ground to.  We grind to a split, low, or high tolerance, if you have a preferance.  Generally we put the crankshafts on the split.

Crankshafts are then polished, preserved, and stretch wrapped to protect them from the elements.

Our quality assurance process ensures that all parts and components meet our strict standards for precision and accuracy.  Each crankshaft is marked and tagged with the final size.
